Randi SimenhoffWhen I first set foot in Cuba, I felt the very special nature of it. The people were vibrant, the buildings magnificent, even those in disrepair, the music exhilarating, but really, it was the whole package that helped me fall in love with this island. What ultimately sealed it for me, was a member of one of the Jewish congregations thanking me for ‘Americans not forgetting’ about them. After my first trip to Cuba, I knew how important it was to share this wonderful corner of the world with others.

Having traveled extensively to Europe, Israel, Asia and beyond, I understand the needs of the traveler, from general comforts to opportunities to enjoy experiences outside of the box. I am excited to bring Cuba to you!

Helping people has always been a focus of mine. From rebuilding homes in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, feeding the hungry, clothing the homeless, and now helping the Jewish Communities in Cuba, I am excited to merge these passions.

For years I had been fascinated by Cuba, and this island has yet to disappoint me! Cuba is a country with warm and inviting people, rich in the arts, culture, music and beauty. Although some consider it to be simply a Caribbean island, it is more reminiscent of Europe, complete with the splendor of magnificent architecture, wide sweeping boulevards, amazing beaches and the grandeur of days gone by. Cuba will once again become the Paris of the Caribbean.

I made a commitment to bring our communities together while letting Cuban’s know they are not forgotten. Many visitors query, “What can we do to help these wonderful people?” When in Cuba, I make a point to speak to people, find out what they truly need. We are hoping to bring support to Cuba mission by mission. Our goal is to help restock the pharmacies’ empty shelves, bring basic supplies to the synagogues, senior centers, schools and a variety of other institutions.

If you are looking for a for an enjoyable experience, something remarkable, yet at the same time doing a “mitzvah,” then this is for you. Your days will be filled with visits to many Jewish Communities and Synagogues in several cities throughout Cuba. Although we will keep up a pretty quick pace, there will still be time to wander around on your own. We look forward to having you join us on our upcoming missions.
